Derek C. Raborn
CIC, CPIA
Derek is President of Raborn Insurance Agency and has been with the agency since 1985. He specializes in business and commercial insurance.
Derek holds the Certified Insurance Counselor as well as the Certified Professional Insurance Agent designations.
He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BA in Political Science.
Baker Raborn
Baker has been with Raborn Insurance since 1988. He is active in Home, Auto, Life, and Commercial Insurance. He is a graduate of Smyrna High School, attended MTSU. He is Past President of Rotary where he continues work with many of their charitable programs, board of the Senior Activity Center of Smyrna, also works with Shirley’s Way TN and Meals on Wheels. He received his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) in 2002 where he continually works to further his insurance knowledge through their annual educational requirements.
Baker has been married to his wife Rhonda since 1992 and has 3 children: Lauren, Addie and Sarah, and 2 grandchildren Emma and Eli Dalton.
Zane Raborn
AIC, AIC-M, AINS
Zane is a third-generation insurance agent at the local family business and has been with the agency since 2023. Prior to joining the agency, Zane was a senior catastrophe claims adjuster with Auto-Owners Insurance.
Zane holds the Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Claims – Management (AIC-M) and Associate in Insurance (AINS) designations. Zane remains currently active in insurance studies.
Zane is a graduate of The University of Tennessee – Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Rick Hall
Rick has been in Insurance for 10 years and came on board with Raborn Insurance in 2023. He active in both Personnel and Commercial Lines of Insurance.
Rick is a past Rutherford County Commissioner and with the Smyrna Police Department for 25 years and retired as a Detective. During his time there, he received many awards from the Town of Smyrna such as being named Officer of the Year twice as well as receiving the Live Saving Medal for going above and beyond in saving the life and victim of an auto accident. In 2014 he was named The State of Tennessee Officer of in the middle district by the Tennessee Police Chiefs Association.
Rick is a member of Smyrna Rotary Club and Founder President of the Smyrna Historical Preservation Society. Rick and his wife Stacie are avid horse enthusiast and travel to several states riding horses and camping with Friends.
Lela B. Orman
AAI, CIC
Lela is a Commercial Lines customer service agent. She began her insurance carrier in 1982 and joined Raborn Insurance Agency in 2003. Lela holds the Accredited Advisor of Insurance and Certified Insurance Counselor designations. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.A. in Business Administration. Lela lives in Christiana with her family.
Melissa Wilson
Melissa began her career as a CSR with Raborn Insurance December 2016. Melissa has been a resident of La Vergne since 1972 and is a 1983 graduate of Smyrna High School. She specializes in personal lines auto, boat, and home.
Her interests include family time with her three children and four grandchildren. Her hobbies are reading, hiking, fishing and kayaking.
